General Requirements for Entry to Panama
  • Valid passport with at least 3 months’ validity when entering Panamanian territory.
  • Return ticket to your country of origin within the term allowed in your stay as a tourist.
  • Economic solvency, which will be demonstrated with: FIVE HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS (USD 500.00) per person either in cash, credit card or traveler’s check.

Countries that require Printed VISA to enter Panama

There are certain nationals who need to apply for a Tourist Stamped VISA at the Consulate of Panama in their country or, failing that, have a VISA from any country stipulated in Decree No. 521 of August 6, 2018.

Any person of nationality that requires a VISA to enter the Republic of Panama that has a valid tourist visa or residence, issued by any of the following countries: Canada, , Commonwealth of Australia, Republic of Korea, State of Japan, The United Kingdom of Great Britain andNorthern Ireland, Republic of Singapore and any of the States that make up the European Union, may enter the national territory as long as the VISA meets the following requirements:

  • Its validity must not be less than six (6) months at the time of entering the Panamanian territory.
  • It must be a multiple visa (allowing several entrances and exits)
  • Have been used at least once in the territory of the Granting State

The nationalities of America that require Stamped VISA, or failing to have a tourist VISA from the aforementioned countries are: Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Suriname and Venezuela.
